Costume: Isabel

When creating Isabel's costume palette, it was difficult to find clothes suiting her age range. Things seemed either too babyish or too mature - with the virgin/whore dichotomy prominent with females in the media, and the constant strain of sexualisation of young girls in the public eye, I wanted to make sure that Isabel's innocence was foolproof, thus creating a colourful range of clothes that may exaggerate her youthfulness. Again,. a link was made towards the older character's self through denim, and floral, pink designs were picked in order to make Isabel relatable to the 'majority' of young girls.
