As Yoli and I wanted to incorporate themes of the original artist, Maisie, I created a mood board so I could draw out the main themes more easily. As you can see, Maisie wears and surrounds herself with a lot of bright colours (such as yellow), and floral patterns. We could use flowers in our piece to represent growth, purity and delicacy. Flowers also connote to love/romance, and as the lyrics revolve around a love interest, again we could incorporate flowers to reference both Maisie and affection. Although Maisie's style may be difficult to replicate onto someone else, we can clearly see her individuality here, so we may take aspects such as the use of denim and build with our casts' personality from there.
